Understanding Keyword Density

Keyword density is a fundamental concept in SEO that measures how often a specific keyword or phrase appears in a piece of text relative to the total number of words. This tool helps you quickly analyze your content to ensure it is optimized without being overstuffed with keywords.

How to Use the Analyzer:

  • 1. Paste Your Text: Copy the full text from your article, blog post, or webpage and paste it into the input box on the left.
  • 2. Analyze Instantly: The tool automatically processes your text as you type, ignoring common "stop words" (like 'a', 'the', 'and') to provide meaningful results.
  • 3. Review the Results: The tables on the right show you the top 10 most frequent one-word, two-word, and three-word phrases. You can see the frequency (how many times it appears) and the density percentage.

What is a Good Keyword Density?

There is no "perfect" keyword density, but most SEO experts recommend a range of **0.5% to 2.5%** for your main target keywords. The goal is to write naturally for your human audience while ensuring search engines can clearly understand your content's main topic.

  • Too Low: If your target keyword density is too low, search engines may not recognize your page as relevant for that term.
  • Too High (Keyword Stuffing): If your density is too high, search engines may penalize your page for "keyword stuffing," which can harm your rankings.

Use this tool to check your content and make adjustments to achieve a natural, balanced use of your important keywords.
